Technological achievement

Evelyn Byrn, CEO and Lead Inventor of Catalyst Industries creates the first artificial body capable of completely supporting a purely human mind, one that perfectly mimics their mortal habits and mannerisms. Whispers of this new technology begin to travel in the back offices and alleyways of Earth, sparking life into a society uncertain of their continued existence. The discovery and creation of a new technology brings more hope, but it's secrecy behind the scenes breeds distrust.

Evelyn planned on releasing her blueprints and technology to the public but was stonewalled by her board of directors at every turn, until she agreed to keep them private. But such wondrous things are never kept from the general populace for long, and distorted inklings begin to be released onto the net. From there, the technology was built upon by the scrupulous and unscrupulous alike, hackjobs preying on the public's hope, fear, and uncertainty of the future.   However, it also provided an opportunity, an idea to survive the harsh conditions of Alpha Avior's planets. Artificial bodies wouldn't break down or be in danger like organic bodies would--and they wouldn't be limited by biology. At the same time of it's supposed development based on the blueprints 'released' to the public, the governments of the world and its people began the very real talks between each other on making a plan surrounding such technology.   It's continued existence becomes an ethical dilemma. Talks about Posthumanism—the relationship of digital tech and its consequence—begin to take hold of the world.
