Tusmait region

The Tusmait region is a region consisting of the highest mountains and some of the more active volcanoes.     The region is by many considered inhospitable, which is mostly related to the many tribes calling the region their home and combined with a large population of RocĀ“s.   Because the continent of Mirateia is a relatively flat landmass the Tusmait region tower above the rest of the mountains and can be spotted from a long distance away and with the eastern part of the mountain region splits into two and creates a fertile valley that makes up the majority of the Kingdom of Thynin who as a result enjoys a large population and is a large exporter of food to the other nations.

Geography

The Tusmait region lays east of the Sleetmouth lake and raises to a height of 2.8 kilometers, the mountains them self are the result of a weak spot on the continental plate and created the mountains and while most of the volcanoes have gone extinct, the mountains dominate their surroundings as the highest mountains on the continent.   Further east the mountains spread into two arms embracing a fertile valley.   The mountains have a lot of valleys who supports a number of wildlife

Ecosystem

Forests of large trees dominate most of theĀ Tusmait. Cool, wet winters together with warm, dry summers favor some evergreen species, where as the mild temperatures and rich soils promote fast and prolonged growth.

Natural Resources

the locals living around the mountain have their herds of farm animals grassing the lower slopes.

History

The Tusmait region is one of the few regions on the continent that are not part of any nation, not for a lack of trying by the surrounding nations but the local tribes that call the mountainous region their home.
