Sahira

Sahira is a member of the Shal'Vara people, she is known to her people as a wandering mystic, her name comes from the Varin’tahl language and means "Moon guide" and all across the Eshari Wastes the name of this wandering mystic is whispered with both reverence and curiosity.
To the people of the clans she comes across, the presence of Sahira is considered both a blessing and a warning as no one knows what she has seen in her visions.
As a wanderer in the desert that is the Eshari Wastes, Sahira´s clothing is both practical and ornate, her clothing follows the traditions of her people with loose flowing robes of sand-hued clothes and as the ornate personal touch and indicates her role among the clans, hers have embroidery in blue and gold treads meant to symbolize the sun and moon. Likewise always by her side is a blackened staff, said to have been crafted out of a lone tree in the desert that was struck by lightning.
Her role in Shal'Vara society is that of a seer and warden, the clans seek her guidance for where they would migrate to, which oases to avoid or to settle disputes between them. In her role as a warden, she protects the oases that are so vital for the Shal'Vara clans and she punishes those that defile the life-giving islands in the sea of sand.
The clans have several legends and stories about Sahira, but one story has its origins among the foreign merchants and travellers who have business in the desert, the story starts with the travellers being caught in a sandstorm and out of nowhere Sahira appears and leads them to safety.
Other stories go that Sahira can sing to the stars, her voice calling down celestial guidance and it's always a bad thing when she does because it normally means that those she is with at the time are in great danger.
While she will normally walk alone in the desert, it is known that she from time to time will join one of the clans on their migration or join some of the merchant caravans travelling to some of the few permanent settlements in the Waste.
Some say Sahira has walked the desert for centuries, untouched by time.
