Crimson Steppe
The Crimson Steppe is a vast and rugged expanse consisting of rolling grasslands and rocky plateaus, it's known for its red-hued soil and vegetation that have a crimson tint when the sun is setting on the horizon.
Geography
The steppe streches for hundreds of kilometres and to the north it meets the northern mountains and to the east, it turns into fertile Riverlands and dense forests.
The winds sweep across the plains carrying dust and bone-chilling wind during the winters while it might give a comfortable breeze during the scorching hot summers.
Some of the key landmarks in the region are the Redspire Mesa, a plateau that towers over the surrounding landscape and serves as a spiritual site for the people of the steppe, such as the Heskarin, other landmarks are the Ironfang Gorge, a canyon that's known for its rock formations and minerals that the local tribes extract and trade with outsiders.

Fauna & Flora
The steppe is home to Bloodgrass, a resilient crimson-coloured grass that dominates the landscape and has helped give the region its name, along the rivers, the Steppesage can be found, it's a hardy shrub that is used as both a medicinal and ceremonial herb. Likewise, during ceremonies, the young of the tribes might give each other Crimson Blooms, it's a somewhat rare flowering plant that only blooms on the sides of plateaus so it's somewhat dangerous to get one.
The iron claws is a predatory cat-like creature that has adapted to the rocky terrain of the canyon and plateaus, the name comes from the strength of its claws, said to be near the strength of the local iron that are mined in the region. small populations of Velan Hart can be found roaming the steppe during summer months.
