Aemona

Located to the east near the coast of the Principality of Clifia lies the small town of Aemona, the town has since its founding managed to blend its original feeling of military discipline with that of the coastal charm that one expects of a small town located on an island.
Following the defeat of the Principality in The war of Western expansion the Empire of Dercia decided that they would take over the island of Arausio with that purpose of setting up a naval base on it that would have two main tasks, those being to keep and ide on any naval activities of the Principality and the other being to patrol the area for pirates that due to the war had been able to run their illicit activities almost unchallenged.
Newcomers to the town will see that the citizens still keep the spirit of their military past alive after more than 160 years. Some will meet in the square in the morning, almost as a morning briefing where they share stories of their family's past military glory and decide what needs to be done in the city. Others will gather to perform physical training. Newcomers will easily feel a spirit of duty and the enduring legacy of the Dercian legions.
While the town lost its military status as a military base, it has since then become a town where some retired legionaries come to settle down after their service and the town still reports to the military command about naval activity from the Principality. Likewise, the pirates that venture into the area from time to time all steer clear of the island as the fishermen are known to fight back. There are rumours of fishermen attacking unsuspecting pirate ships and boarding them.

Government

The town is governed by the elder, and all the elders can trace their lineage back to the old commanders of the first legionnaires that first set up the base.

Industry & Trade

Being an old military colony, the town doesn't have much trade with the outside world, and the inhabitants sustain themself by fishing and farming pigs and goats.
