Neural Map Cybernetics
Discovery
Neural map cybernetics were primarily developed as an alternative to Nanite Network Cybernetics, the current standard, because of the inherent flaws with the nanites. Development on them has been going on at Isaacson Pacific Hospital for the past five years, and they have just been cleared for usage on a small trial group. They will most likely be available to the general public within the next 3-5 years, if all goes well, making Cybergoo and other similar conditions things of the past.Utility
Neural map cybernetics are the next generation of cybernetics. Because they are not dependent upon nanites, they are immune to conditions such as Cybergoo, and can immediately replace components affected by the condition. However, since they are still experimental, they are not yet cleared to be used to save those victims of the condition who have major organs affected, although that is the primary end goal.
It has also been speculated that neural map cybernetics may be useful as reference in the development of more accurate androids, since some scientists argue that androids are simply people who are 100% cybernetic, and therefore any technology that applies to cybernetics may apply to androids.

Manufacturing
To create a neural map cybernetic, a scan is taken of the nervous system of a human version of the body part being replaced, then this is reconstructed by E-printers. This E-printed network is then inserted into a cybernetic in place of the more traditional nanite network, and connected directly to the user’s own nerves.

Access & Availability
Neural map cybernetics are experimental, and currently only available to a small trial group.
Complexity
Advanced computational power is required to manufacture these cybernetics, and they are just as complex as a real human body.
