God of Darkness Xulotl

The god of darkness and sympathy. He has had a troubled life. He was one of the original three that shaped the principals that the universe was built on: light, darkness, and foresight. Though he was the god of the darkness principal, he was the kindest and most calm of the three. That aura of emotional warmth was partially to his detrament because it caused him to fall for the cold and unmoving Toris, deity of foresight. For years he pined after Toris, years that helped Toris out their shell, helped them be able to share more about what they see. Yet, after all that, he was forced into loving Qala, one whom he was friends with but harbored not romantic love for. Six children and a chaos snake later, his spell was broken and he was horrified. He started to despise Qala, but still loved his children deeply, and because he betrayed his love for Toris, albeit unwittingly, he exiled himself, causing Toris to once again close themselfe off out of sadness. No one in the Azure Realm knows where he is except Toris, who will only look for him if he sees that is must happen.

History

This was a forced coupling that Xulotl wanted no part of. Qala wanted Xulotl even though he cared for her only platonically, so she forced Edes, the goddess of love, to "persuade" him into loving her. For centuries they loved each other while Xulotl was still under Edes' spell. They had multiple children that they both loved dearly, but their final child, Selvisi, the god of chaos and a product of Qala's dishonesty and lustful tactics, broke Edes' spell and cause Xulotl to see what had happened those past few years with Qala. This causes Xulotl to despise Qala and to hide away within the farthest reaches of the Azure Realm after Selvisi was dealt with.
