Tenebelle Ashara Character in Mirador | World Anvil

Tenebelle Ashara

A priestess of Pharasma. She's rarely seen, preferring to sleep during daylight hours, and her taciturn demeanor and habit of talking to shadows has resulted in rumours of her being a vampire or some sort of undead. She talks softly and slowly, and has the scent of lilies about her. Tenebelle dresses in cloth of black and dark blues and purples, often accented with gold. She prefers clothing that could be charitably called revealing. She has lived in Fyrebough's Pharasmin temple for about eight years, and she hasn't aged a day. When asked about her secrets, she quietly says that it is the sun that ages, and she hides herself from it as she can.

Some of the children around town are particularly fond of Tenebelle, or The Pale Lady, as some call her. They leave apples, flowers and other things outside the door to the temple, or dare each other into going an knocking on the door. She is unparalleled at performing shadow puppetry, and will sometimes enact silent performances for children on festivals. Though something of a beauty, she is a loner, and shuns any who show even the slightest romantic interest in her. Tenebelle maintains a small vegetable garden between the temple and the lichyard, where even the penniless can come and eat the fruits of nature if they can't catch fish. She does all her gardening by moonlight.
