War of the Embermire Succession

In 876, the Principality of Navania invaded the Principality of Embermire over a question of the right of succession for the regency of Embermire. While meeting with initial success, the Navanian force soon became bogged down with a combination of failing logistics, overextension, and low morale. The war would end a year later with an Embermire victory and a changing of the rules of succession.
