The Smiling Crab Tavern
The Smiling Crab Tavern is a large tavern located in Beachdenn. It is owned and run by Helius Lamoth.
Purpose / Function
The tavern serves not just as a destination for weary travelers, but also as the primary watering hole for the citizens of Beachdenn. It is not uncommon for communal gatherings to be held here, or for locals to rent out the facility for weddings and other celebrations.
Denizens
Most of the time, local citizens are the ones that can be found sitting in the barstools here. These include fishermen, lumberjacks, farmers, and tradesmen. The conversations - and scents - common to their lines of work permeate the dining hall on any given night. Since Beachdenn is a small town at the southern end of the Starlight Peninsula, visitors are rare.
Architecture
The Smiling Crab is a large, single floor tavern with a red A-framed roof. The large, northern section houses 12 guestrooms and 2 indoor bathrooms. The southern portion contains the pub, stage, kitchen and storage areas. The wood used to build it was locally harvested from the Comrock Forest.
