Beyond's eve and Festival of Passing

As sure as both moons never cease their journey across the star-lit sky, the seasons have brought the end of the long Freezan nights. Midrastians of all ages and races, regardless of their wealth come together to celebrate the festivals of Beyond's Eve or Passing.

Ashenclaw

Despite their differences, the son of Sunderwing took it upon himself to preside over the tribe of Opportunity in remembrance of those that lost their lives. Less virtuous, more heartfelt and encouraging, Ashenclaw's speech was, perhaps at dissatisfaction of his father, openly welcoming to the faithful of Perseverance and the Black Mistress. For the remainder of the eve, Ashenclaw remained in the company of Olympa.

Avisleaena

During the height of the War of Ember, Avisleaena was already in the Air kingdom, and still tribeless. Unable to leave and contained with other gryphons, whether they be servants or not of the warring dragons, the Songweaveress was forced to move into the far eastern Maester tribe. During her involuntary stay, she taught the dragon-raised gryphons much about their lost culture, including the rites of Beyond's Eve. While they were not allowed to light a traditional bonfire, the cheery gryphonsongs chittered up long into the night.

Ayliith

With her service day off amidst the waking Wheel tribe, the junior Clawstopper Ayliith spent half the day off enjoying herself a special tea with a few other non-hybernating hybrids. Most details of their merry-making will not be remembered.

Charhorn

Leader of a band of unhappy young dragons that set out to settle the wilds on the borders for themselves, a tribe that defied their Rada and revolted against their traditions was in turmoil about the festival of Passing. The black-horned drake did not acknowledge the need for a celebration like this, yet despite his dissatisfaction, some of his followers organized a small festival of their own. Much to everyone's surprise, Charhorn even attended the hastily organized celebration later that night, and made a short remark about how proud he was of everyone's accomplishments before retreating back into his lair.

Falth

Exhausted with war effort, the Night Hawks's supplies have been running out and Clawstoppers capable of fighting quickly diminished. Falth's sombre tone rang across the tribe he gathered amidst the snowy mountains of the Air kingdom. After a month and a half – nearly 100 days - the war has gone into a stalemate. Left with guilt weighing down on him for all the kindred that fell by his command and with their goal nowhere in sight, the black-feathered Ember-wielder announced that starting next Cycle, he will seek to negotiate peace terms with the dragons. Reactions were mixed, yet none sought to defy his decision openly.

Fiercetooth

Second in command of Charhorn's tribe, Fiercetooth recognized the potential of improving the mood of his tribe by organizing a celebration like the festival of Passing from their original tribe. Despite his leader's disapproval, he still went behind his back and helped organize the festival in secret by spending much of his own wealth to procure alcohol and rare dried meats from nearby Purveyors. While it was eventually discovered by Charhorn, the eve was allowed to continue unhindered, filling the starry night with the voices of dragons sharing stories, myths, songs and laughs.

Olympa

Not as cheerful as she once was, the diurnal gryphoness of the founding family of Opportunity dutifully helped with all the preparations for the upcoming festival. Emphasizing the strength in unity and cooperation in spite of struggles of the world around them, the Master Huntress was seen briefly amongst her siblings before retreating to a private meeting with Ashenclaw for the rest of the eve.

Sayeth

No one, save for one dragoness knows of Sayeth's whereabouts during the festival of Passing. Regardless of where he is, he doesn't want to be disturbed.

Yriinth

Awakening from a strange dream, Maester tribe's Advisor and Clawmistress of kingdom's forces, noble of the Tonitruum family and the first recorded draconic Ember-wielder had little time to participate in the festival of Passing herself. Freezan this year proved to be on Air dragon's side, its harsh winds and lack of food stopped the advance of the gryphon invaders, for now. Alas, the gradual rise of hostilities, even towards domesticated gryphons raised within the Air Kingdom, was the major and surprising, talking point of Yriinth's speech during the Passing. Acting upon her dream, her speech was ended with a promise to end the conflict as quickly as possible, so that everyone can return back home.
