Scrawl

(a.k.a. The Wild Mage)

Wild gryphon leader of a scavenging tribe took the opportunity to make his lot in the world better by allying with Falth in 50th Fertilan 896.
Scrawl was a hybrid Gryphon with a king-vulture upper body, while covered in tawny but patchy leonine fur on his lower side. To top it off, a part of his beak was missing, and with wild and unnerving round green eyes, he posed as an intimidating individual.

History

His tribe specialized in scavenging supplies from and illegal trading with nearby draconic and gryphon tribes on the outskirts of Air and Mud dragon territories. Both races had official records with bounties on their heads even before they joined forces with Falth. 
Scrawl's raids were gaining notoriety over the cycles as extremely slippery. Originally inheriting the tribe from his mother, each time Scrawl's tribe gained the ire of either Civilized race they stole from, his skillset at leading covert operations was far surpassing that of most other Wild ones. Unfortunately, his tribe was never able to reach greatness, as frequent skirmishes within their midst proved to be a much greater foe than any dragon they stole from.

War of Ember

During the war, Scrawl was elevated into the position of Clawmaster and lead his tribe against various smaller Air dragon settlements. Eventually, his Scouts managed to liberate Ember from the dragons and upon learning its secrets, Scrawl's brother sacrificed himself as a Catalyst to empower him with the shard of Ember into an Ember wielder.
It was not long before he learned how to utilize his newfound powers and much to everyone's surprise, he had a very different skillset apart from Falth. The notoriety of Ember wielders began to grow as his powers proved to be confusing and unpredictable, earning him the nickname of "Wild mage"
