Ysmir

"It unites us all,
binds us,

and is one with us.
Life.
And the Guardian of the Circle keeps it.

To live is all he asks of us.
To enjoy the moment,
the opportunity of existence,
and what this world can offer.

Do not allow the thought of afterlife to disturb your mortal existence,
for the temporary is far more beautiful and meaningful than the eternal.
Pursue a healthy way of life,
filled with happiness and joy,
and be at peace."

Ysmir (also known as "the Guardian of the Circle") is one of the prime deities in the Eldar pantheon. He is recognized as the god of life. He is the son of Lora.
Ysmir is without a doubt the most widely worshipped god, gaining praise from most common folk in Midgard, due to his reliable tenets and encouragement of simply enjoying existence.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Ysmir's primary symbol is that of a circular shield, half-brown, half-green, with a golden-brown circle at its centre. Brown represents soil. Green represents life. The circle represents the circle of life.

Tenets of Faith

Above all, Ysmir cares for life and its cycle. He is fascinated by the miracle of a simple existence and advocates that life should be cherished by all. His followers generally oppose things such as murder (no matter the cause), slavery, and they loathe the concept of undeath, for it is a mocking of all Ysmir stands for.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Ysmir recognizes that even though the gods and the cosmos can be perceived as eternal, nothing truly is. It will all come to an end someday and therefor his attention is mostly set on Midgard, making sure harvests are fruitful, people are healthy and long-lived.
