The Stenbergs share ties to mountain dwarves and are stubborn as an ox. Most renown for their impressive fortress which has deflected countless assaults. Fables emphasize the impenetrable Stenberg fortress as a beacon of stability and hope.
The Stenbergs are renowned for their affluent lifestyle of luxury but few outsiders do ever get the chance to actually see it as they are very selective in who they invite into their long and fabled halls inside the mountains. Of course, seeing how they are a majority of dwarves (who are known for their distrust against outsiders) this behavior is not especially strange.
The Fjelleborg fortress among many other keeps have previously deflected many assaults. The stories of their strong defenses often discourage their enemies before any bloody confrontation is needed. Instead, they tend to settle disputes with "fair" transactions, they usually demand organic material as they already have plenty of wares such as gems, ores & chemicals.
