Carvedous

The villainous trader and slaver that once enslaved the Rat Pack on Collier. He enjoys using his slaves for his own amusement as gladiators, which is just what he did with the Rat Pack. The ire of his existence was a gladiator too popular to outright kill--Radicus Tootha Maximus. Maximus and noble politician Festicus staged a slave revolt that overthrew Carvedous. When the Rat Pack last left him, he was escaping on his spelljammer while allowing them to use his smaller spelljammer for their own purposes.

Captured Gladiators

Not long after the Rat Pack killed their captors on the Moon over Midgard, Master Carvedous arrived. He presented himself as a rescuer and promised to take them back to Midgard right after he made a stop at another location to sell some goods. Believing that he was their savior, the tired and desperate Rat Pack accepted the kindly offer. However, it was not long until they realized he was not taking them back to Midgard.
Carvedous took them to his homeworld of Collier in bondage. Once there, they were forced to participate as gladiators in an arena. Thanks to the leadership of another gladiator--Radicus Tootha Maximus--they staged a revolt and overthrew the slaver.
While attempting to escape Collier, they encountered a fleeing Carvedous. He tried to bargain with them, but they insisted on a fight. Carvedous made short work of the Rat Pack but had no time to continue fighting them. He pointed them to his smaller spelljammer and told them they could take it if they would walk away. With no other choice, they took his offer and fled on his small ship while he took his much larger yacht into space, escaping the revolting slaves.
