The Humans of Illiad approach the halflings of the Arbor with an offer to join their kindgom.
In 1151, the humans of the newly founded Kingdom of Illargos approach the halflings of the Arbor with a treaty which would induct the halflings into the kingdom. The humans offered protection, trade and culture to the halflings who, with the exception of those living in Brewton, still lived in hobbit holes within their forest. The treaty was agreed upon by the halflings with certain stipulations:
- A Bigbrew must always govern Brewton.
- A halfling must sit on the king's council and the individual would be elected by halflings.
- The Arbor was to be preserved; no one is permitted to harvest the lumber of the forest or build within its area.
