Day 14

Session 4
The party have an eventful first day in Port Nyanzaru. They save a priestess and earn a free healing at the temple of Soveris before looking for a place to stay within the city. The Almarage calls to them and they spend their first evening in Chult sipping Tej and talking to various jungle guides.

Day 14  

• Volo asks the party to escort them to his friends villa, temple is on the way so they agree to join them, port nyanzaru is painted in a variety of colours, colourful flowers, very hot, tabaxi street performers, merchant prince zanthi sells clothing, merchant prince akaney sells magical items, merchant prince Ifan sells beasts including dinosaurs,
• Rumours of slavery, yuan ti
• The party ask about accomodation within the city and are told about two places, The Grand Eblis high end tavern near grand succ, Almarage lower end tavern near the warehouse district,
• The party head to the temple of soveris – 7, head priest is father zetenby, priests niece is missing? Writes up a contract promising free healing if they find her, woman came in frantic said they lived in the old city - 1? she needed help from a priest and zetenby's niece went with her to help
• The party head to the great succ bazaar, absolutely packed, percy does a bit of busking, scully buys some gems while baelin, solana and temor head to the old city to look for the missing priestess, scully grabs percy and they catch up with the party
• They locate the hut that the priests daughter was sent to, chair on the floor, bed is snapped, belonings scattered across the floor, imprints in the mud floor, heavy smell in the air, scully identifies the scent of chloroform, solana detects a whiff of evil, crumpled piece of paper in the fire pit, says 'Gone to the ziggurat, the main entrance caved in, use the side entrance behind some bushes to look for our signal, follow Ubtoa’s will. I have a participant', ubtoa is god/creator of chult, he was a servant of the gods who then ascended, after talking to a townsperson the party discover that ubtoa's will is to 'trace the path', the party go back to the symbol and trace it revealing a hidden door
• First room has a bunch of zombies chained to the walls, the party move on after dispatching them, they come to a corridor with lots of directions it could go, in one of the rooms is a swirling faintly glowing dark blue orb, temor thinks the orb is an enchanting device, scully throws a dagger at the orb and discovers it is made of glass, the orb begins a count down starting at 10, the orb enchants weapons temporarily when the countdown hits 0
• In the next room, baelin detects a smell and whisps of black on the walls, looks like there were more but they have been cleaned, substance is soot,
• In the next room, girl is chained to the wall, robes, symbol of soveris on her robes, figure looms over the girl with dagger in hand, they turn when the door is opened, on the other side of the girl is a male corpse with runes carved into his cheeks, corpse is actually alive, woman with the dagger is named gulan, the party put the two abducters to sleep and tie them up, they heal annette (zetenby's niece), temor kills the husband and he transforms into a wight, the party kill the wight and escort annette back to the temple, annette thinks she was due to be fed to the wight once it transformed, they say goodbye to annette and make good on their contract
• The party decide to find a room at the Almarage and journey through the red market to get there, solana buys dinosaur meat,
• They reach the almarage, halfing sat with a skinny man with a wide smile, dark skinned lady with large muscles sat alone, human sat with two tabaxi, dwarf sat at the bar with one arm
• Azaka stormfang, is a guide for the jungle, would be interested in helping us, she has lost a mask in fire finger, wants the mask back, ptera folk have taken it, if the party promise to help her she will offer us her services for free,
• While they are discussing the one armed dwarf wanders over, offers his services, says he's fought a dragon that flys the southern sky, if we decide we want to, we can get his help to slay a red dragon,
