Wakitou
Demographics
As with the rest of the Republic of Namu, the population of Wakitou is split roughly evenly between humans and elves. However, its position within the dense jungles of Western Namu has resulted in a significant enclave of Lizardfolk forming within the city walls.
Wakitou has long been known for its craftsmen and artisans, and indeed the mask of the Weaver-Bird is by far the most common amongst the Wakitoans. The Spider mask is also well-represented here from the production of silks and dyes for fine Namu garments.
The high prices that Wakitoan goods and clothing command results in a population that is generally quite well-off, with even farmers and unskilled laborers able to live in relative comfort.

Government
The Silver Mask of Wakitou is well-respected by the more conservative sect of the populace, but some radical thinkers among the Wakitoans believe them to be far too attached to history and tradition. The Lizardfolk of Wakitou, quite separate from the human and elven population, view the entire governance with certain resigned cynicism. They believe - not without reason - that whoever is making the decisions, the Lizardfolk will merely be an afterthought in the mind of the Silver Mask.
Industry & Trade
Wakitou is famous across the Republic of Namu for the fine quality of its masks and robes, and these make up the vast majority of its exports. The city also exports more mundane items made from the plentiful lumber and silk, including clogs, sails, and various mathematician's tools.
With so much of the city's lands devoted to logging and mothkeeping, much of the food consumed by the populace has to be imported from the surrounding villages and plantations.

Guilds and Factions
The Weaver-Birds are by far the most numerous mask in Wakitou, and as such hold significant sway over the Silver Mask. Additionally, despite being fewer in number, the reverence placed upon those of the Spider Mask allows them to influence the Silver Mask's governance far more than would be otherwise expected.
Geography
Wakitou is located within a large man-made clearing on the eastern slopes of the great mountain that dominates Western Namu. Twisting mountain streams provide a measure of fresh water, but the city relies on rainwater collection to support its population.
Natural Resources
Wood from the jungle surrounding Wakitou is ideal for working into masks and other decorative yet sturdy items. The climate around the mountain slopes also happens to be ideal for mothkeeping, allowing for the mass production of fine silks and dyes.
