Stillborn Realms

General

Stillborn Realms is a designation bestowed Dvallh Realms whose creation-process was inadequate and most often cataclysmic in nature. More than one Dhavian have met their temporary end with the unintended creation of a Stillborn Realm.

Description

Most would describe a Stillborn Realm as being barren and having an absence of depth, though not necessarily of a physical nature. They are sterile and have inadequate living conditions for most life forms, excluding the most durable and simplistic.

Physical phenomena

These Stillborn Realms do not have any consistent physical phenomena, wheter they are natural or supernatural, though some may be more reoccurring than others. It differs from instance to instance.
Reoccuring ones concern irregular reversed gravitation, rain made out of crystalline light or sudden kilometer-wide vacuum explosions, to name a few. Various transmutational effects are also known to occur, whether it is oxygen turning into hydrogen sulfide or pure carbon dioxide. Or stone turning into bone or crystalline sugar.
Additionally, Void Rifts are expected to ripple across these Stillborn Realms, some of which are vast while others are smaller.

Errant thoughts
of stillborn gods

One of the more unsettling reasons as to why Stillborn Realms are so inhospitable, is due to the incoherent ramblings of stillborn Oraltions: Also known as Realm Personifications.
This phenomenon manifests itself as both auditory hallucinations and mental voices, the latter of which may at first feel like errant thoughts. It is incoherent to a conscious mind, though it subconsciously imbues affected with a sensation of grief, with a pinch of undirected deep hatred. While it can grow loud, it most often is nothing but a whisper. What determaines this is not known.

Effects on mortals and immortals

Most Melathi who experience this phenomenon become suicidal after mere weeks, while those who survive long enough become reclusive, display errant behavior and speak in incoherent whispers. Nelathi are able to withstand it longer, though they will eventually succomb to madness as well. Selathi appear to be the only ones capable of withstanding the more severe effects of the phenomenon and may merely become depressed.

Naturally quarantined

Stillborn Realms are naturally quite difficult to access without the correct frequential coordinates. They all appear to have a soft, natural variant of Realm Quarantine and due to their inhospitable nature it is seen as a positive for most. For those who wishes to access their resources and primal energy, it becomes more of a bother, however.
The only one who is able to access a Stillborn Realm without too much problem is the Dhavian who created it. This connection remains even after death, though it fades slowly over time thereafter.
