The campaign to rescind the building permit in Little Havana has reached a crescendo - and Haley May Lee is leading the charge. Her warmth and care for her neighborhood has made her a community leader that is widely beloved, though most are not aware she also rules a small subset of their population. With her help, it seems likely that there will be no added banality to this little slice of heaven.

Thomas and Lucien , leaders of the Anarchs, have concluded their meetings with the Theater of the Uncanny, pack of South Beach and leader of the Sabbat in that district. Lucien, the de facto leader, is happy to play nice with the Theater, worried about what all out war would do to their community. Thomas, meanwhile, is disgusted with the Sabbat and would rather cut off his own dick than work with them.   The other Anarchs - the Tzimisce Corneliu and Malkavian Anubis - also are not thrilled to be living in an unstable alliance with the Sabbat. But their argument quickly turns sour, with Persephone (Thomas' daughter and Lucien's girlfriend, a fairy) making the situation worse with her ignorant grasp on vampiric politics.   Thomas storms off, leaving the two lovers to figure out their shit. Finding another vampire named Katya Romanoff in the fighting pits of Miami, the two hit it off, both literally and figuratively. They have a tight bond of those who enjoy beating the shit out of each other just as much as having a beer together.   The sky is dark over Miami this morning. Thunderstorms all day drive pedestrians indoors and there are more than a few small fires from the lightning that are put out almost immediately from the driving rain. Palm trees bend and sway, and it does not let up even before sundown. The sand can only absorb so much, and the waters begin to rise.   Travel will be difficult tonight. The power grid may flicker on and off. But many things can be done under the cover of darkness. And only a few will suffer from the lights being off.
