Xinzu Empire

A feudal empire with many proud and pedantic nobles and a well-defined class system. Bloodline purity is taken very seriously, making it difficult for newly risen nobles to survive for long. If their version of history is to be believed, it was thanks to their founding ancestor that the many races now possess means to control shinsoo. Before the Diver’s Guild established its Eastern Base in the Empire, foreigners travelling within were considered to be the lowest class and possessed no rights. Now, they exist in a somewhat unique class both below all others and yet with special “immunity”.

  • Nine Sects, One Gang
  • Tianyan (alt: Tianhua) Temple: Heaven's Flame said to be lit by the Emperor to spread his enlightment to the far reaches of the Xinzu Empire. One of the 3 largest sects within the Nine Sects, One Gang. Known for their swift, aggressive style. (Flame Qilin)
  • Vajra Palace: The largest sect in the far Western reaches of the Xinzu Empire and for who the Vajra Province was named after. Known for their exotic weapons, domineering physiques, and contradictory lifestyles alternating between lavishness and ascetism (Vajra Elephant)
  • Northern Ice Palace: The largest sect in the far Northern reaches of the Xinzu Empire and for who the Bing Province was named after. Known for their icy, stoic demeanors and precise spearmanship, archery, and mounted combat skills. (Storm Snow Lion)
  • Shaolin Temple: Monks of domineering physiques and experts in warding evil. Take offense to being associated with the Vajra Palace despite their relative proximity and similar style
  • Emei Sect (alt: Nunnery/Monestary): Female-exclusive nuns near the Sicaun province (to be renamed?)
  • Mount Hua School: One of the 4 supreme sword Schools, known for their light and flowing swordsmanship reminiscent of plum blossoms dancing in the wind
  • Wudang School: One of the 4 supreme sword Schools, known for their unique sword style that fights hardness with softness and fearsome counters.
  • Kunlun School: One of the 4 supreme sword Schools, known for their steady and persistent sword skills. Based in the Kunlun Mountains.
  • Diancang School: One of the 4 supreme sword Schools, known for their extremely forgettable sword stylewild and brutish sword style.
  • Ignoble Clan: Weak in power, but ever present and highly knowledgeable. The ever present clan of beggars, waiters, errand boys, prostitutes, and low-lifes of all kind. They would like to kindly remind you to treat those beneath you with respect...or else.
  • The Five Eternal Families
  • Namgung Family: With wealth that could rival an empire, they spare no expense in supporting their own.
  • Jaegal Family: Unfathomable strategists and tacticians. Their illusions and magic formations bear true testament to "All Strength is meaningless in front of absolute Intelligence".
  • Tang Family: Alchemists of ill-repute, for the masters of medicine are invariably also the masters of poison.
  • Nobu Family: A family that grew on land surrounded by Ocean, separated from mainland for miles. Honorable to a fault, and known as the fearsome warriors of the Northeast.
  • Guo Family: Perhaps owing to their proximity to the Dwarven League and relation with the Xinzu Empire, the Guo family will not admit defeat to anyone when it comes to craftsmanship and machines.
