The Hub

All warriors and pilots of DAD who've set foot in Alva, the neutral city, tend to agree on a singular sentiment: The Hub is their preferred locale. It's often referred to as "home" by a significant number of them, serving as a nucleus for their emotional lives, especially for those who've distanced themselves from their original families. The current iteration of The Hub is the result of what was dubbed as "Alva's first major renovation." The city underwent this transformative phase, ultimately resulting in the familiar layout we know today. While an earlier version of The Hub existed, it was rather primitive, lacking the allure it possesses now. The architectural layout of The Hub includes three expansive residential structures encircling its core. These buildings are segregated by faction, and while intermingling among different factions is theoretically restricted, it nevertheless takes place. The rationale behind investing in an establishment like The Hub is manifold. It serves not just as a central point of control for the world's mightiest warriors but also as a strategic move for gaining deep insights into their characteristics, which can then be leveraged advantageously. Various non-playable characters (NPCs) either work at The Hub or frequent it for a range of reasons. There is much conjecture about their affiliation to either the Alva government or the factions, and the possibility of them being clandestine spies-for-hire. Warriors and DAD pilots significantly bolster Alva's security through their participation in "missions." These missions are doled out in accordance with the participants' specific skill sets and experience levels. The Hub also accommodates stores offering a gamut of services and upgrades pertinent to the warriors' battlefield capabilities. Furthermore, a record of their accomplishments is maintained, which influences their eligibility for new missions and rewards. The Hub is strategically located within a large, safeguarded zone of the city, where environmental norms reminiscent of a bygone era are upheld.
