Translating to Sand Stalker in Donsel in refers to the very humanoid upper body and the arachnid lower half.   They are deviating trap makers found inside the Salt Spires and surrounding areas in the Sembar Desert.  

Origins

There are old wives tales of the creation of the stalker, with the most popular being that of when kids lie and wonder off of towns during the night. Most adults however believe it's actually for those that have cheated on their spouses. The common theme amongst all the myths is the fact lying is involved.   While some scholars believe they are related to Sirens
however they do not feature the ability to augment how they appear, nor do they lore in victims with charms. With the similarities being the upper humanoid half, and how they are often refered to as desert mermaids. But the subject has yet to be proven if true.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The lower half mimicking an arachnid having 4 sets of legs and large abdomen. All of these bones are exoskeletons.   The upper half however features inner bones and the physical characteristics of a mammal having a set of arms, torso and a head each functioning like any humans.

Ecology and Habitats

It finds refuge in the Salt Spires making use of the brine rivers. The environment allows them to set traps for live prey.    Their thick brown skin and exoskeleton make repelling the sun easy, though they prefer to only operate at light managing to resist the freezing desert nights.

Dietary Needs and Habits

It is a carnivore from all studies, but it also is noted leaves are shewed although not swallowed. They generally feed on anything ranging from cattle to humanoids, typically by digging holes during the night and sealing the top to trap air they are able to create a pit trap. When a victim steos on it it enclaves in and causes the victim to drown in a brine mud mixture preserving the body for consumption. Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Their legs are traced with hairs acting as additional sensors able to feel movement up to five meters away.   Two ordinary eyes, and millions of additional eyes that can view things in a multitude of ways.  However these eyes remain closed as they are highly sensitive to light.
