Salt Spires
Geography
Located surrounded by the hot sands of the Sembar desert and the landlocked sea it is a reasonable flat expanse of ground covered with salt and other mineral deposits.
Large spires of salt crystals are dotted around, normally in clusters. These spires range in height, thickness and come in many shapes with many being top-heavy. However the way the salt crystals form makes them incredibly durable.
Barely any rivers pass through on account of the low precipitation and higher level of evaporation, but few do pass through such as the Brine Run. But all water sources found here are filled with salt making them unsuitable for most creatures. As most water can't drain into the ground it remains motionless until evaporation slowly deposits more salt.
The few bits of water that drain through get trapped beneath a thin layer of salt that when walked across, or road on a larger vehicle may collapse in on itself causing the poor souls to be drowned in a pool of saline mud.
Fauna & Flora
Not much grows out here, but the few elements that do is mycelium that stretches for miles below the surface never breaking.
The Wrumen, a sizeable giant worm that consumes whatever fertile land it finds and excretes the salt creating the salt spires.
The Saendstiener is a multilegged creature that lurks across the wasteland creating desert traps and consuming the flesh of its victims.
Natural Resources
There are pockets of fertile land, but with barely any fresh water, growing plants is not practical.
However, the salt deposit makes it a prime location for companies wishing to have a clean supply of salt, alongside the minerals and spices created from the Wrumen, a giant worm creature that excretes the salt.
History
Mostly seen as a wasteland in earlier history on account of the deadly Wrumen that lurk these lands it was not touched until the uprising of the Liren sending the Kenhika into the desert where they formed an alliance with the Donhuid to relinquish the lands of the Wrumen and start a trading empire of salt and spices.

I like the idea of worms in this kind of environment, with all of the jagged and irregular glass it'd be easy for them to slither and coil through. I am hoping for more information on certain organizations interested in these formations. Good job!
I plan to focus on this region for Summer camp to flesh it out, and as I add more I will loop back and cause them to link better, so the organizations are next! And thank you <3
