Jonathan St. Claire
A bored, rich heir of a half-elven family's fortune, Jonathan St. Claire finds himself trapped by his peers' lack of curiosity and industriousness just as much as he is trapped by his own physical disabilities.
Physical Description
Special abilities
Jonathan is a gifted, bright young man with a talent for arcane spells. He has no use for, and so does not study, combat spells. But utility spells are his bread and butter, and he will use prestidigitation and message as casually as breathing.
Specialized Equipment
For more general use, Jonathan has specially crafted legs made of porcelain and gold - as beautiful as they are unique. The runes hidden in the filigree react to his mind's impulses, giving him the full range of motion for walking. But they are delicate and unsuited to travel. They also happen to be a chore to put on and take off, and can grow to chafe or soreness after too long.
For comfort's sake (or for speed), Jonathan uses a similarly fine wheelchair to get around. He usually utilizes an unseen servant to push it for him.

Likes & Dislikes
The stumps of Jonathan's legs tend to ache often, and so he makes frequent trips to the Imparadise Baths. He also pays the men and women there to share his bed with him - and it is not so much for their bodies, but for the fact that, unlike his peers, their vapidness is only because their clients are as uninterested in intellectualism in their bedfellows as they are about it infecting their own psyche.
Those at the baths find that Jonathan will repatriate those who read, who have philosophy and poetry in their souls, and who have the tongue for debate. It becomes a common pastime for those who wish to earn his coin to scour the book stores for some new title to discuss with him that he has not heard a million opinions about already.
