Farahai
Goddess of fortunes, destiny, and auguries
The serious, solemn half of the two Sisters of Fate, Farahai looks at the threads of time as if they've already been written.
Destiny is written in stone, and far be it from her to move it. However, that doesn't mean she's not willing to share what she knows.
From the fortunetellers on the sides of the street to the wisewomen in the courts of kings, all pray to Farahai to reveal their destinies to them. Her preferred method of revelation to her worshippers is through dripping wax upon a parchment (as a candle is as short and fragile as their own life, liable to be snuffed out at any moment), but reading of bones and entrails of animals can also be used.
Divine Domains
Knowledge, Fate
Divine Symbols & Sigils
A lit white candle; pink peonies; a bronze needle
Mental characteristics
Sexuality
Women tend to be better soothsayers than men, leading to the common belief that Farahai is a lover of women, and for those who are particularly gifted with prophecy to be known as "Mistresses of the Lady," or, less crudely, to have been "kissed by Fate."
Relationships
Commonalities & Shared Interests
The two sisters get along well, though this does not mean they agree in all things. Farahai believes firmly in letting things take their course, while Kanai believes that fate is what you make of it.
They rarely share a base of worshippers, but those who follow one sister generally offer tribute to the other as well.
Relationship Reasoning
Farahai, as the older, level-headed sister, is always there when Felisis needs a shoulder to cry on. She always knows what to do - and although their spheres of influence clash (predestination and future sight kind of kill the very idea of luck as a concept), they are still family, and she has a soft-spot for her heartbroken little brother.
