Dreyra
No one knows where it comes from - only that you can only get the Skinning Disease from a Valset, and only Valset are infected with it for right now. Countries are closing their borders to the Valset left and right in an attempt to keep this disease out. Only time will tell if they were right, or acted fast enough...
Transmission & Vectors
Dreyra is a disease that spreads through touch. A creature that comes into contact with an already infected creature must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw, or become a carrier.
Symptoms
The skin begins to turn a spotty white color, with a slight pearlescent sheen in the paler areas. Then it begins to slowly peel off. If the disease is in its early stages, this is no problem, as it's only the first few layers of skin. At later stages, however, any of the affected areas of skin peel off down to the muscle.
In game terms, after each long rest after getting infected, make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 + your current stage). If you fail, advance the stage by 1 point (2 points if you roll a critical failure). Reduce the stage by 1 point if you roll a critical success.
Then, roll Xd4-2, where X is your current stage. Take that much non-magical slashing damage as your skin sloughs off.
Treatment
Currently, there is no cure. The most that can be done is to hide or alleviate the symptoms, which can be done with a salve made of a flowering plant known as Gristwhistle's Tears (though the people of Valsáth generally call it dragon's blood).
If you use this salve, you do not have to roll to advance the disease.
There is only one cure that is known of at the moment: vered, which grows in the Arvandara Swamp, can be made into a poultice that causes the fungus to die, turning into a thick, scaly second skin that can be peeled off and should be incinerated immediately.
