Personality

Once a brash and arrogant young man, Rolo has had his confidence seriously shaken. Almost being duped into assisting the Mopatis coup has severely damaged his political career. With part of the fallout seeing him removed as the Bahin heir.
Despite these setbacks, Rolo continues to display the potential his grandfather saw in him. Possessing a broad field of knowledge and the political know-how to apply it. This combined with the determination to redeem himself may yet see him return to favor.

History

Rolo Bahin had a difficult start to life being born to Talina Bahin and one of her fathers cronie senators. Talina's second political marriage seemed to sap her independent spirit. Only agreeing to it so her father would recognize her at the time bastard children Tavia and Lazos Bahin. Already sickly, she would die shortly before Rolo's first name day.
Rolo was under the direct tutelage of his grandfather as soon as he could form complete sentences. Unlike his half siblings, he thrived during his education. Learning from the brightest minds of the city briefly including two previous Magisters Qarlon Jaqen, and Ando Cahya. At the same time his siblings grew more distant and at times were even hostile towards him. Rolo ignored their jealousy and continued to form a closer relationship with his grandfather.
This relationship would see the young Bahin take on considered political power. Standing in as party leadership during his grandfather's absence as Admiral of the Republic Navy. Rolo developed a cocky attitude from his position which would soon become his undoing. Ellryia Mopatis would convince Rolo that Lorath was doomed unless he overthrew Magister Qarlon's government. Alon Ostin happily fed into the young man's fears promising to back the coup with his zealots. Disaster was only averted from a lucky meeting between him and his grandfather who was under house arrest.
The incident did play heavily into the Leviathan Party victory in the next election. However, Rolo's gullible nature and overconfidence caused Illan to lose all faith in his grandson. Not only stripping him of all his political power but also replacing as heir with Lazos Bahin.
