Personality

Once considered a quiet and stoic man before the Disaster at Braavos. Since the battle Iro Bahin has transformed into a thrill seeking mad man. He makes almost no effort to hide his disfigured face, embracing the new intimidating presence. Iro has also become the greatest advocate for war seeking the adrenaline rush of battle. This mental instability has been noted by several senators suggesting that he be removed from command. However, whether due to his grandfather's nepotism or his heroic charge during the Disaster he remains a captain in the Republic's Fleet.

History

Despite living in Lorath for his whole life, the least is known of Iro Bahin. The only child born of the political marriage between Talina Bahin and Usman Qadir. He was abandoned by his mother when she ran off with her paramore. Iro spent most of his childhood growing up in the stoic general's household. Before returning to the Bahin Family due to the dispute between Illan and Talina.
Iro Bahin, though initially groomed to inherit the family's leadership, showed little interest in his studies. Resulting in his grandfather turning to his younger half brothers. Iro seemed unphased by being passed over, settling into a minor command under his grandfather.
That was until the Disaster at Braavos, we're Iro seemingly fell into madness. In command of the fleet's vanguard he charged through the still burning ships under Magister Qarlon to engage the Targaryen ambushers. Dealing what little damage the Targaryens received during the battle and allowing his brother Lazos to escape with the surviving heavy ships. Iro was scared both mentally and physically by the battle. Receiving severe burns to the upper right side of his body and later losing his right hand to infection.
