Nesina is a pragmatic somewhat greedy woman with a talent for negotiating. While not perfect she does her best to be kidn to her children and has Cooled the tempers of her husband. She acts as a calming if not slightly self serving presence in negotiations.History
Nesina spent her youth with her Uncle, a self made man, who brought their family onto prominence as traders and merchants. She saw much of Essos and a little of King's Landing as she traveled with her uncle. It is from him she gained her mercantile and managerial skills. By the time she was in her 20s, her Uncle had long retired to Braavos and she along with him had stayed there. In the chaos of Braavos's destruction she lost her Uncle, however she met Thorys her future husband. At first their was little love between the two, both using the other to their own benefit. But in time they found that they enjoyed the others company. By the time Tara was of age Nesina had already managed to convince Thorys to promote her to head of the Iron Bank, which left her little time for her family. While amicable with Tara, much like Thorys she ignored her other children. Leaving room for resentment to grow.Family Ties
