Cyril Portier

Cyril d'Amasteau Portier is the lord and ruler of the barony of Monteblu, in the Legacyan Kingdom, and vassal to the Duke of Vologa, Fernan Almoir. Known for his calculating and strategic personality and his withholding of the usual lavish lifestyle of the nobility. Known as an expert falconer, adept scholar of history and brilliant military tactician, he has cemented his power as an influential and respectable lord still during the time of Snadov. Such prestige was earned due to his successful campaigns against hostile beasts and creatures that used to infest the mountainside of the Sky Peak Mountains, his greatest personal achievement being the slaying of a Royal Griffin, back in 997 EL.

As of 1025, Cyril Portier had gained significant renown, as adventurers and countless mercenary bands had travelled to his Keep - Stormwatch Bastion seeking wealth and employment, which the baron had to spare and ample need, respectively.

However, on the 24th of June, 1025, a massive storm and hurricane descended upon the Baron's castle and town, decimating the armies he had gathered and leaving only rubble where his castle stood. Still, word is that Cyril Portier himself wasn't injured in the incident.

Appearance

Cyril is often looked upon as a simple, yet respectable figure. Rarely garbing himself in puffed and colorful doublets and jackets, instead dressing worn, dark tunics and pants coupled with, more often than not, dirty boots and shabby leather gloves. Around his castle, Stormwatch Bastion, he's usually seen with a long wolf pelt coat, made solely with beasts he had personally hunted.

The baron is a broad-shouldered man of average height in his early fifties. His grizzly hair reaches up to his shoulders, mostly unkempt, like his beard. Deep, dark brown eyes betray little emotion, and his presence alone commands respect and decorum everywhere.
