Mellanvärlden

Set between the several planes of existence, Mellanvärlden is the stage which all mortal beings inhabit, a realm forever beneath Death's unfalthering gaze. The Mortal Realm is a harsh, unforgivable place, dominated by mankind and its kingdoms, with lesser races either being shunned or outright exterminated. Dwarves live secluded in their mountains, sitting atop piles of gold and jewels, while the elves, unknown and taken as myth, live an eternal bloodshed amongst themselves in their own realm.

Amongst the nations of Man, each has taken a direction, be it after power, wealth or knowledge. The Known World is divided in three main continents: Människar, the continent of Civilized Men, Chivalry and above all, Winter; Preomona, a hellish land covered in jungles and fearsome beasts that dwell in it; Brandjorden, the southern continent of Burned Men, of infinite deserts and slavery. In most of the world, the practice of magic is shunned and taken as illegal, often punishable by death, for wherever witches and sorcerers go, a terrible darkness follows.
