Back when people were still evolving into the people we are today those who were born too "different" were forced out of their tribes/groups/homes and as more and more kept popping up the large traveling group kept growing and eventually found a place to settle and people decided send the "different" people over that way. The first "different" people were Fairies and Vampires . No one is sure which appered first and it is a contentious topic to modern times. Overtime witches started appering and then shifters- which threw people for a loop with how different they were from the rest and immideatly caused discrimination- though at that point things were already building between fairies and vampires.

The Division
Geological / environmental eventThe hostility of humans to their kind was becoming more violent and dangerous and so working together the most powerful witches of the time and earth and water fairies they sort of just broke off a large chunk of the continent and pushed off further into the ocean so that humans would have a harder time coming to attack them. It took years and caused multiple deaths, it caused lots of damage as well with destroyed buildings with unintended landslides. It's believed the excess magic use soaked into the islands, which is why the flora started exhibiting more wild magical properties after isolating from humanity. With the flora becoming more magical, and most of the fuana either eating magical flora, or fuana filled with magical flora, it caused them to mutate as well. This in turn is thought to have helped strengthened the magical traits in the population of Mayvis and why humans eventually just died out as no one was born human again.

The First Vampire and Fairy Great War
Military: WarThe first great war between the vampires and fairies spread across the entireity of Mayvis, shifters and some witdhes were enslaved on both sides, some witches were fighters on either side, shifters were forced to fight on each side, devestation reigned across the land for over two hundred years.
