Personal history

Early Life

Little is known about Sola's early life. It is thought that she had a fairly normal childhood for a Demian girl at the time. She would have helped with chores around the house when she was old enough and would have grown up with tales of the Domi invasion of Kedizlim and the now frozen island of Learbof. When Sola became an adolescent, she trained to become a war-maiden in the Tharsa militia. Sola was not a quick study and suposedly always had her head in the clouds, dreaming of finding love and making a name for herself so that future generations would sing songs of her deeds. When she had completed her training, she was stationed in the Tharsan garrison, a position she would keep until the invasion of the plain elves occurred, eleven months after completing her training.   During the invasion, Sola was tasked to a scouting unit to monitor elven troop movements and gather intelligence. Over the months Sola became proficient in stealth, sabotage, and assassination, earning her the nickname "Sol persin" or "invisible snake" among her fellow soldiers. This is where she took on the name 'Sola' from her unknown birth name. Sola completed a number of successful operations throughout the first months of the war until her group was ambushed and taken prisoner.

Elven Imprisonment

A few months into the war, Sola was taken prisoner along with her scouting group. During her imprisonment, Sola befriended a plains elf named Betizo, who treated her and her comrades kindly, in contrast with the others who were cruel. Eventually the two fell in love and Betizo hatched a plan to break Sola and her comrades out in the night. On the night of their escape, Betizo was wounded by archers and Sola had to carry him back to the nearest Demian military camp alone, as only she and Betizo had survived. After arriving at the camp, Betizo was immediately taken prisoner by the Demian soldiers. Despite Sola's protests that he had helped her escape, Betizo was sentenced to death. Sola attempted to free Betizo in the night but was caught, as punishment, she was forced to witness his execution. On that day, Sola swore she would have vengeance on not only the commander, not only on the Demians and the elves, but on the gods themselves.

Deal with The Dark Weavers

As Sola wandered east towards the Dafubi mountains and called on any god that would listen to aid her in her revenge. Something heard her plea and sent The Dark Weavers soon arrived to meet Sola. When Sola encountered them, they told her that their lord had heard her prayer and would grant her great power if she would take her vengeance by wrecking havok on human and elf alike.   Sola was told to return to travel to Bim lake, where she would find a large tear snake. Sola was to subdue the snake without killing it and wait for the weavers to return. Sola set out to Bim lake and after three days of searching found a large tear snake. Using her stealth, she surprised the snake and knocked it out. That night, the weavers returned and instructed Sola to build a large surgical table. After Sola built the table, the weavers ambushed her and strapped her to the table. The weavers then revealed 10 human and ten elven prisoners, before slitting their throats while chanting in an unknown language. The agents then reached within Sola and the Snake, linking their souls into one. The agents then proceeded to cut off Sola's legs and the snake's head, using the energy of their sacrifices to keep both barely alive, though in excruciating pain. After removing her legs, Sola's broken body was painfully stitched to the snakes body, before finally passing out.

Transformation

When Sola awoke, she was in great pain, almost worse than the night before. A single weaver was there when she awoke, he told her to be still, that she would need to rest and heal. For the next 30 days and nights Sola sat still, unable to move, kept fed and watered by a new weaver every day, until she finally felt her new lower half. The sensation made Sola extremely uneasy, she squirmed and fell out of her bed, where she was quickly subdued by the weaver, who returned her to her bed.   After 10 more days of stillness, the weaver instructed Sola to leave her bed, for she was fully healed. But when Sola dragged herself out of bed, she fell on her face as she did not know how to control her tail. Sola lay on the ground for three days and nights trying to pull herself up, each moment blaming the divines for her hardships, until she finally managed to pull herself up and gain her balance. Over the next week, Sola learned to slither and to use her tail as a weapon. Finally, She could take her revenge.

Revenge

After healing from her transformation and learning to live as a naga, Sola set about her revenge in earnest. The memories of her transformation's pain were gone, but the rage they caused remained. Through tortured confessions of Demian scouts, she learned the location of the commander who had sentenced Betizo to death. In the middle of the night, Sola dispatched the night watch and entered the commander's tent. Quickly striking the guards with her tail, knocking them unconscious, she wrapped the commander in her tail before slowly crushing him to death over the course of several minutes. After the commander was dead, Sola slaughtered the rest of the men and women in the camp.   Over the next several years, Sola terrorized the border regions between the plains elves and the Demian lands. Sola found that she was more than a match for dozens of enemies at a time, even forgoing stealth entirely to flaunt her physical power to the men and elves whom she so hated. After Sola became a bigger problem for both the plains elves and the Demian than each other, the two sides agreed to a truce to find and slay the naga.

Exile

After the end of the war between the plains elves and the Demian, Sola was forced away from civilization by the vigilance of both the elves and men. Over the following years, Sola began to hunt both animals and mortals for both food and sport, no longer able to stomach food that was not meat. Over the decades, Sola began to grow scales up her torso and her mouth began to grow venomous fangs. In addition, Sola found that she was aging very slowly and, in fact, only seemed to grow larger with age, especially when she had gorged herself with meat.

Slaughter of Yapfnamo

About one hundred and thirty years after her transformation into a naga, Sola had grown to be nearly ten meters long and was said to be able to consume an entire person in one sitting. She set out for the village of Yapfnamo in the Demian lands, a small village but one large enough to house a shrine to Ruca. Once she arrived, she encountered a lightly defended town, as she had passed into myth in the minds of the Demians. Sola quickly overpowered the towns defenders, crushing their bones with single swipes of her tail and melting their armor and skin with her venom.   After the town's defenses were defeated, Sola imprisoned the survivors and proceeded to eat the entire town over the next few days, fighting off every attempt at rescue by the Demian army. After she had gorged herself on the town and completely depopulated it, Sola remained in the village ruins to digest her prey and grow, by the time she left the town she had grown to a monstrous twelve meters in length.

Later sightings

Sola has never been confirmed dead and many believe she is still alive today, perhaps satisfied with her vengeance or perhaps plagued with regret. The last widely accepted sighting of Sola was in the year 523 where she was sighted on a mountainside in the Dafubi mountains. The witnesses claimed she had grown to over fifteen meters in length but she did not seem to notice them.
