LINK TOKENS

Success and sacrifice with your powers encourages your connection with Drosk and its boons. Every time a target fails one of your spells or abilities that would restrict or force its movement, or is hit by a spell attack roll or ability attack roll that does the same, you gain one Link token.

As you accumulate Links you will gain access to new passive traits based on how many you have in total. If the number of Links you have drop under the required amount for a passive trait you lose access to that trait immediately until your total reaches, or exceeds, the amount required. You may also spend, or "Break", an appropriate amount of Links to use special abilities. Each Link cost and condition will be listed on the ability. If the Break cost is marked as "X" you choose any number of Links you have and Break that many Links to activate that ability (Specifics for "X" will be listed in the ability).

You lose all Links if you are rendered Unconscious, take a Long Rest, or a Short Rest. However, at the end of a Short or Long Rest, you may spend one or more Hit Dice to retain your Links. You roll the Hit Dice spent, and you keep a number of Links up to the total. You can decide to spend an additional Hit Die after each roll.
