The Explorers

The Explorers are a rag tag bunch of pilots, traders, miners, and handy vagrants that have maintained autonomy in the face of Earthling aggression, through space piracy and guerrilla warfare, proving themselves to be tenacious and versatile fighters.

Structure

The Explorers are a confederation of autonomous colonies.
Democratic assemblies and production guilds make decisions on a local level regarding production and policy.
These local bodies come together to form the confederate assembly by electing numerous delegates to vote for the local bodies, these delegates are under constant scrutiny and can have their positioned stripped at literally any moment, allowing for a "veto by the people".
The confederation acts as a living democracy.

To resist Earthling imperialism by any means necessary, and to maintain autonomy for the off-world colonies.

The explorers have dominion over the vast majority of the resources within the asteroid belt.

History

The Explorers are a new formation, erupting out of the chaos of war that occurred during the space miner rebellion, now called the Explorer Uprising.
