The Asteroid Belt is a vast section of space between Mars and Jupiter. The contents of this belt is a product of planetary evolution, and the destructive power of Jupiter's gravity field.
Geography
The Asteroid Belt is made up of millions of asteroids and planetoids of varying sizes, separated from one another by vast empty space. Although there is such a high density of asteroids within the belt, it's likely that one could travel through the belt without seeing a single celestial body.
