Aelar Siannodel
Aelar Siannodel (a.k.a. The fool)
Backstory
When I was 152, I decided that I would become an adult. Three months later the day of the celebration arrived. Normally an adult hood ceremony would have roughly a third of the town, but, as I was I Siannodel, a well know family for being powerful, rich, and generous, the entire town showed up. I got a glimpse of everyone before I went to the room below the stage to get changes before I would go to be given the crown that represents a Siannodel reaching adulthood. I walked down into the room and waited for my cue to come out, but I never received it. I waited 30min before going out and I saw a glimpse of a figure that looked kinda like a [main villan body shape] as it was looking around I saw it's face, and it saw mine. In over 150 years, no time had felt so long, longer then my life leading up to that point, yet also less than a second. I knew my life was over. I closed my eyes waiting for death I didn't want to see it coming. So O waited and after what felt even longer, I heard a noise. The thing fleed and I saw someone. He/She was wearing [myth wizard close] and radiated a powerful aura. Even though I knew little in the way of magic, only recently learning prestidigitation, yet even I was completely overwhelmed by the magic I felt, knowing full well I was only able to sense a fraction of the power. They left and I was in shock. All I could do was stare at the ruins of the village. We were medium sized moon elf village, only 2000 elves, but to not leave a single survivor and wreck the village in less than 30 minutes? I still find it hard to believe. I managed to salvage 2 months worth of food and 130gp. However I had no way to spend it other than travel 75 miles to a remote village or 150 miles in the opposite direction to a large collection of towns. I traveled to the collection of towns. On my way, I noticed something was not right, I was 55 miles out of the ruins and could not afford to go back. A sudden urge told me to go to the left. I found a tree with seemingly silver veins flowing into a crystal growth and it gave a powerful magic aura, no where near as strong as the one from before but also more ancient and complex. I knew it had summoned me. I new the right thing to do was to pick a branch of the tree. Before I moved, a branch covered with deep blue, bright pink, glowing orange and pale blue-silver crystals fell from the tree. When I picked it up, the magic power resonated with mine and the crystals shrunk and the brach straitened, now the size and shape of a quarterstaff, felt like it belonged. I continued my journey through the peaceful forest, accurately named from the lack of monsters, and reached the nearest town. I went to the town's enchanter and he told me to stop wasting my time with bothering him about the myth of [wizard] Several years later, I make due with nature, as I search for a trace of a clue of this wizard, to thank him and hope he will teach me. Town from town, I go, learning magic along the way. 2 years after th incident I decided to return to the tree. When I arrived, it was gone, only a few of it's leaves where it was. I knew it had not died as it was far too powerful, and the quarterstaff would have lost it's aura. I placed the leaves on my spellbook, and again felt that resonance, confirming my theory. There was no clue until over 200 years later. It says go to [plot location] and find a piece of a map that will lead me to a location where he will occasionally visit...
