A tall, thin woman with jet black hair and slitted green eyes. Her countenance is that of a ruler, her demeanor brooking no argument on who is in charge of any room she enters. Queen Pocha-Mes is a politically savvy woman reared in a patriarchal society that would have married her off to a distant family member or a political favorite eventually. She would not stand for this and seized power from her weak-willed family members

Pochumes is best known as the woman who wrested the monarchy away from her weak uncle Akemi-Ko and mobilized its war effort into a well-oiled machine of conquest. Her father, Ain-Cho, was on a longer rung of succession to the Emerald Line. Before her, the Line was dominated by males, with strong polygamy traditions, the rumor is that after she deposed her uncle she made it clear it would not be tolerated under her rule...by castrating her uncle. What ISN'T rumor is that she had all secondary wives, maidservants, and concubines put out of the Domed Palace.

Motivation

The Lady Pochumes is motivated by the desire to maintain her power and prevent any who would usurp her place as head of the Emerald Line. Her most effective means to do this has a great deal to do with her investment in the war effort against the Rooto and the Scarlet Star, doling out rewards for those who pitch in and removing rivals on grounds of suspicion of treason against the Line.
