The Golden Shipwright

Looking for repairs to your trade ship or fishing boat? Head to The Golden Shipwright just east of the Northern Sunlight Docks in the Northern Bright Bay District. Built by Argus Aminti in 1800, The Golden Shipwright is the premiere workshop on the island. Argus was a master craftsman from Ver Coasta. He had done his apprenticeship there but had trouble finding a job or opening up his new shop (he's quite an odd man, always talking to people who aren't actually there, plus there was a rumor that his wife Agata was a witch) so he was essentially driven out of town. The Amintis found themself in Gardinya Lyra six years later and Agata suggested he open up his ship repair business at the docks. Little did Argus know, but the location that Agata suggested was a perfect cover for the underground business she was planning on opening. Even though the right people all know The Golden Shipwright for its secret underground, it is the best repair shop in the city. There are not many problems that Argus cannot fix, not many ships he cannot set to rights, and not many finicky repairs that he would not take on.   The rumors that had followed the Aminits from the coast were actually true. Agata is a not-so-secret witch. And The Golden Shipwright was the perfect place to hide magic underneath the city council's noses. If you ask any of the ship workers up front for Agata (it's usually Argus, and either one of his two apprentices Beji Sixa and Kenth Caridon), they will send you to the back of the large workshop. Agata will usually be fixing up ship tar over the kitchen fires in the back, but if you know the right password, she'll turn the kitchen fires into a creeky tunnel that will get you where you really want to go.
  • Are you looking for information from Beyond the Mountains? Use the password "Krapplack" to take you underground to The Spot (with it's giant X over the door). 'Odd' Sergei Uli is one the finest purveyors in the information that the kingdom wants to keep hidden (especially about the human world), enchanted maps (even some that show places that no longer exist), and the occasional spellbook hidden through the shelves. They don't call him Odd Sergei for no reason though, so make sure if you go here, you bring sufficient information to bribe him with.
  • Are you in need of a little luck? Use the password "Karminrose" to take you to Ancient Marta's Old Shop of Curiosities. They specialize in potions that do not do what they are advertised and seemingly 'broken' magical items. But if Old Marta really likes you, she'll read your tea leaves, and maybe even be able to divine your next path off the palm of your hand.
  • Are animals more to your liking? Use the password "chromgelbdunkel" to visit The Extra Small Animal Emporium. And don't be discouraged by the name or the despectively small exterior. This is the largest exotic pet shop around, with some of the finest selection of Sugarbats, Coral Crabs, and Maripets that the kingdom has ever seen. Minkle, the priopioritor, makes his own pet snacks, if you are looking for a special treat. And if you ask Minkle's blackbird Sparkle nicely, they might even sell you some specialty animal part potion ingredients.
  • Are you looking for a more offensive solution to your problems? Use the password "Kaltgraugrun" to take you to Tinker and Sons. Run by Ahley and her daughter Bittley who are blacksmiths that specialize in making weapons that are good for sneaking into places where weapons are not allowed to be. Some say these weapons have magical properties, and rumor has it that Bittley once forged a sword that was carried into the keep at Astra Moira and used to threaten The Dark Queen.
  • Are you missing something? Used the password "Phthaloblau" to end up at Wiever's Wandering Wares. Hot Sergei works here and he can help you find lost items, for a price, of course. There is a room labeled 'Excellent Refection Collection' - a collection of mirrors that can show you anything but your reclection - that was apparently passed down to Hot Sergei by his great grandfather. The shop also sells a collection of keys, who knows what they open. But be careful and never steal from Wiever's Wandering Wares, stolen items always find their way back to the shop.
  • Are you looking for something shiny and sweet? Use the password "Rotvioletthel" to visit Madame E's Oddities. This tip-top-tervery shop is run by Ever Morganstern who took over the shop Evlyn Flyer who was mysterously found dead in First Breathe Garden just this last year. The shop sells crystals, rocks, and cupcakes. Make sure you don't get them confused.
