Pirate Captain

A pirate captain running a town as a mayor rules his or her town with power, fear and blackmail and the threat of a curse. submitting his subjects with fear of death, using other captains as instuments and demanding loyalty an will use anything necessary to force someone to do his/her bidding. He/she knows that his position is contested on a daily base and loves the danger of it. Well established pirate rulers are rare, but also loved, as they give certainty and stability.

Requirements

strong, cunning, fearless, good knowledge of the human psyche. be ruthless and a excellent pirate captain.

Appointment

as captain you need to win several sea battles to show superiority.

Duties

make the crew understand what they need to do, make sure they can do it and assign the proper quartermasters, bosuns etc. to do the job. make tactical decisions not to run out of ammuntion. (so battles can be won)

Responsibilities

spoils of war need to be shared, battles are to be won, having mercy or lacking compassion needs to pay off.

Accoutrements & Equipment

every pirate captain should have weapons. some carry a sword, multiple (throwing) daggers, some are excellent with the rapier, cuttlass and flintlock. two handed swords are to heavy to wield. some are known for their throwing axe skills
As rule of thumb a crewmember should always be able to have three points of contact on the ship. two feet and a hand, leaving only one hand free to fight.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

well. loose your head and its done. make mistakes and get a mutiny, you will be walking the plank. The worst thing however is bieng cursed.
