Awakening

After sleeping for decades Luciando felt the voice of the young girl. It had been long since he was touched by a voice and he let his current owner, the Elven Lord know he was awake, pulled from its slumber by the lingering vibrations of her Ghost Voice.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The gittern is non-mechanical except for the tuning knobs. Tuning by the musician is not needed. As instrument it has the power to collect souls from the fallen and allow them save passage to the God of Death. In return the instrument sometimes gains new information, stories, songs, and all kinds of secret knowledge and capabilities, depending on the victim's knowhow and status. The instrument can teach the musician the stories, poems, spells, secrets and mystique if it wants. The instument can also change it's appearance to fit the musician.

Manufacturing process

strips of wood are bend, lined up and chanted together with elven magic. The seems will heal like wounds, not leaving any marks. inside the instrument is a gemstone that is not visible from the outside, to accomodate the soul of the instument. It needs a soul, intelligence and personality to be capable of judgement.
the stone is grown inside the neck of the instrument.

History

Luciando is powerfull enough to use soundwaves as a shockwave. The shockwave does not take friend or foe in consideration and is cone shaped. The musician is behind the cone and therefore save. Luciando is used in wars (Mengarin Wars, Battle of Thrun 'Ga Ren and the forgotten war of Unglee Man Gu'rgade-en). He is known to inspire warriors overcome fear, improve their willingness to engage the enemy and ofcourse, instill fear into the enemy.

Significance

Luciando is known to the Ancient Elven Lords as "Egne az Urgandu" (King of Souls)

As instument it is unsurpassed, and it's intelligent. Luciano has a voice, can speak, sing and argue. It can empower its user with the vibrato of his strings. Luciano is very stubborn and wont speak if he deems the musician unworthy, if he deems the musician worthy he will open up and engage.
