The Great War
Military action
With the change of the Technological Era many conflicts that were brewing beneath the surface of the existing political forces came to a sudden boil and erupted into an all out war between the nations.
The war seemed endless and caused many deaths and the fall of one of the most ancient empires Eora has ever seen.
It is still unknown the exact event that set the war into motion and it is a baffling mystery to many historians of the modern era. Though relations were tense the war seemed to come out of the blue to most, many speculations are thrown around by many savants and the few Elder Elves that were alive at the time of the war and some Warforged that survived the conflict and were given freedom.
The event of the Great War shaped Eora into how it looks today, previously there were no Metropolises or a Council to rule the entirety of the continent. Before their fall or disbanding there were six nations that ruled Eora, separated to the Southern ans Northen Alliances:

Led by their King Carric Lemm, the Eternal Empire was oldest empire in Eora. Its territory included the entirety of the southern region of Eora from south end of the Lush Peaks mountain range to the south most areas of the Oivrunid Tundra.Founded by their first elves that left the Feywild on Elvendawn, Qualeer Farahn was a paragon of Elven culture and magic. Its many cities were a splendor to behold, grand wizard towers and theaters with lavish decorations adorned every city within the empire.
Its capital, Afe Nalore, was one of the few floating cities in the history of Eora. It was said the city was shackled to the ground beneath with massive Adamanite cords of Dwarven make to keep the city from floating away.
Many ancient works of art, musical compositions and poems are said to originate from the Eternal Empire. When most of the Empire was destroyed in the events of the war and many artifacts and powerful magical items were lost to the wastelands, especially the arcane magic used to lift the city above the ground.
The ruins of Afe Nalore are now lost in the Nydurth Forest between Stagvault and Stormdrift, many expeditions were sent to retrieve parts of the lost civilization, few returned and those who did told of strong magic and frightful ancient machines that defend the ruins.
