Purpose / Function

The wheel of ages is a gate for Grand Witches of Arcamunda to gather and meet every year or under exceptional context. Hidden is the Hailing Woods,The wheel of Ages takes a physical form of a tree. Despite his big stature, It shares an average length similar to other trees which makes it hard to spot. But his true nature is when the Solstice happens at a particular moon height. When the conditions are met, the tree splinters in twelves wooden parts spreading out on the ground around the lake it is stationned.these splinters are used by witches to travel to the core of it which resides the Gate Wormhole.

Alterations

The wheel of ages core foundation underwent drastic went the Purge Decree went effective. Amongt the events, the tree making host of the wheel of ages was burned by the military forces. However, the core of the Gate was untouched during the aftermath. The gate core remains dormant, waiting for a soul to gather it elsewhere and rise again from the ashes.
As for when the core merged into the tree, the trunk's inside became fuelled with mana infusions. Which made odd reactions with the environment, like creating mana fueled fungus at the watery base.

History

The origin of the wheel of ages comes from the first time arcanic meteors came into contact of Arcamunda. This one, set in a less populated area, came in impact in the Hailing woods. Considering the like scale of the meteor, most of the rocky formation disintegrated on the atmosphere when the core impacted a old dying tree. The impact fracture the tree into 12 parts,spreading like a wooden flower which over time reformed itself.
His origin was found in a dream by the High Witch which, after further travels through the gate, decided to make it a safe haven for witches to gather.
