Kora, in her past life, was a human of (location), which was born with the name Marise Ciel. Her childhood was rather simple, and she even had a first love, Gaudric Auberive, a charming young boy that wanted one day to save the town from the oppressors. They promised each other to leave the place one day once all is done, and make a family together.     Because of a plague affecting the region, her father died early and her mother could not provide for her child anymore, and thus gave her for a sac of silver pieces to the Artemisce Family, the dreaded castle of the dead where the vampiric nobility ruled over the scared populace. She was now a property, and became of service from the end of her childhood passing through adulthood.   At the age of 18, she once saw Gaudric again, but this time with the armoiries of the Palatinate, a force fighting against all evil in the country plagues by undeath and doom. She tried to get his attention while she was gathering livestock for the castle in town, and pleaded him to save her, and going far away from her owners. But Gaudric changed, and his indoctrination in the palatinate made him follow the greater good and his brethren over his love. He thus removed her arm and went with his group, ready to act elsewhere they could change the things, but not here... yet...   Some month after, the prince of the castle, (character), took initiative, he was recently enamored by how Marise grew and wanted to 'collect the fruit' of her virginity at this exact moment, sure that her blood would be an utmost delicacy. He then brought the lady to his private quarter, and gave her the discovery of sexual intercourse. While she did not wanted to be with the prince and begged for him to stop, he bit her in the neck, which provokes a state of ectasis in her, she never felt this much goodness in her life of toil, even if her life was slowly fading away.   It was at this moment the paladinate striked in the estate, and the prince was staked in a vulnerable position. But a part of his blood went to her lips as she was dying on the floor. Swift, some healers of the platoon healed her injury. Gaudric, knowing her, demanded to take care of her for a while as she would be in shock in awakening and that he knew, the group agreed on it.   He tended to her wounds in an old abandonned church nearby the estate as the rest of the platoon was hunting for evidence. She then gained back consciousness, but the tainted blood was working fast on her, as she was undergoing a vampiric awakening. Gaudric, having his armor removed and meditating, was not aware of this. She asked him that she was feeling faint and simply asked him for a final embrace. Which he agreed on, at it wasn't against his order. She then proceed to bite her former love , draining him of his life, as she was refelling a facsmile warth of warm in the embrace.   She then brought back the corpse of her lover in the estate while they palatinate was showcasing their success in town. She even tried to bring him back as a vampire, to live forever with him. His reaction, however, was more than hateful. He blamed her for taking his right to paradise and making him a monster, spitting on everything he aimed for, and decided to wait for the day to die in ashes as penance. She was shattered by his refusal to start again despite this condition. All the men that were in her life abandonned her. But not anymore... now, she was Kora Artemisce, new ruler of the estate, and the night was young...

Morality & Philosophy

I really love all the detail you've added here. Her story feels familiar and yet unique, the bits with Gaudric feeling like they have a certain unavoidable destiny to them while also feeling too compelling to skim over. Nice work throughout!

thanks ! i just noticed the formatting however the naming feels weird to weird because of the human/vampire separation, imma have to find a possible solution, maybe a link to an article of her human self.   And yeah, i feel the Gaudric dynamic add some plus-value. When i have more time, i plan to make it more developped and easy to read on when possible.   Thanks a bunch for commenting and happy summercamp !
