Discipline of Diamond

Your body is a container, such as the cup holding water. By honing it, you make it stronger, and able to master it. Disregard it, and the water will leak through it.
The Discipline of Diamond is a philosophy followed by practicionners of the arts of the Arcane. This learning is focused on the regular practice and mastery of channeling the arcanic energy towards the body and limbs to enhance the user's defensive and offensive capacities, and usually merged with principles of martial arts.     This practice usually focuses mainly on transmutation, evocation and abjuration schools. Abjuration is usually the first school practiced with this discipline. As the more a practicioner of this school remains in a stable and healthy conditions, his capacities and magic control are improved. and a good defence through abjuration makes it their greater offence over time. Other schools can be used in more creative ways, but have way less practicioners to learn it from. The case of necromancy used in the discipline is also taboo depending on different schools of thinking. Some abhors and banns it in any lawful bouts, and some thinks using it for survival is not even a viable reason to use it. A minority however thinks this school of magic is just a different way to reach victory and a fighter should use everything in their arsenal.

Origins

The origin of this practice was implemented by , the first Ant High Witch. Having discovered a fellow comrade fell to a veil rupture, he went into studying and gather help from scholars to investigate cause of his friend's demise. He went to the conclusion (person) was not prepared body-wise for such a continuous amount of Arcane to keep. He then developed a personnal training based on his friend's research, but also continuing to train in the temple of (location) through meditation and physical strength. Over time, he developped an attuned body that could channel arcane through great feats of strength. One day, his training was put to the test as a local natural disaster was abound. Despite having been considered less powerful than his friend, he managed to stop the landslide and save the populace. He however sustained major permanent injuries and interpreted it as this power should be shared to achieve true strength, as by numbers, we rise. He then proceeded the rest of his life to train at the temple future pupils of any background that had the capacity to control the arcane. His heritage became known as the Discipline of Diamond, a training made to use the body to upmost efficiency to manipulate the arcane veil into a physical force.

Influence/Demography

Some High Witches also learned this practice either from cultural influence or personnal interest, but some started to practice it as a matter of self-defense in crowded close-combat after the Warrant of Belnovi put them as wanted individuals in some countries. The proficiency in that learning also gave them a better control of their aura, making it able to hide it better from time to time.
