Laughing Powder is the name given to the powdered drug that has become popular among the elite of societies. You find the drug sometimes among the commoners of Tenebrosia as that is where the Eye of the Fae Mushroom is found to make the powder. 

Shipped over to Brakasia , the drug is much more expensive.

Cultural Significance and Usage

Frequently used as a sweet seasoning after mixing with berries, the drug causes extreme euphoria and hallucinations. The ruling elite sometimes hold "Happy Houseparties" where all guests will be under the sway of the drug after a grand feast.

Refinement

In order to refine the mushrooms, they must undergo a painstaking process of alternating between soaking in an acid and drying out. Usually after the 5th cycle, the mushrooms look all color, signifying they are ready to be ground down into a find powder. The power is then usually mixed with dehydrated berries to give it a sweeter flavor. This powder mixture is usually added as a seasoning on food in order to ingest.

Hazards

Over time, those who heavily use the drug loose their sense of sight. In severe cases their eye deteriorate and shrivel, causing masks to be a common fashion accessory.

No official laws have been made in Tenebrosia about the drug, although it has come up multiple times in the meeting of The Council as many oppose it for its harmful side-effect. Brakasia has listed the drug as contraband to be destroyed, causing it to be smuggled in small amounts to the main land.
