Aelves
Aelves are a race of barbaric raiders. They wage war on their neighbors for food and resources since their own mountains are dry, frozen, and void of most sources of food. They hunt what little game their is to be had and fish from the Frozen Sea, but the rest of their needs come from raiding. Most wild game where they live is too large to be hunted by anything les that a full hunting party and even then it is considered a desperate need as the prey tends to be just as dangerous and the hunters.
Humanity first encountered them when the northern island of Tenebrosia was raided to devastation. At the time, humans had no idea who or what they were as they wore armor and masks that covered there features.
They war frequently with the Orcs as they are their closest neighbor. They have learned to apply a primal magic in combat and tend to fight in fast raids, striking hard and quickly retreating if their advantage is ever lost.

Major Organizations
The Aelves are scattered amongst the central region of the Darklands with no governing organization. They war less with themselves, but the conflicts between clans is common due to strained resources, particularly in the mountain regions.

There is no difference in expectation between male and female Aelves. Both are just as aggressive as each other.
Courtship Ideals
Aelves are fairly free to choose who they want to court.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Aelves are constantly warring with the Orcs , particularly to steal their dragon steel. Aelves have limited means to obtain Dragon Ore so they must take it from the other surrounding people.
With humans arriving onto the continent, they have a new target for raids as the frontier settlements are safe targets for them to attack.
