Salko's journey
In the year 3.892 a.G.A. Lady Salko was born. She would eventually go on to become one of the most powerful Warlocks to have ever lived. At 20 years old, Salko left her hometown to travel the world and learn as much as she could about the arcane arts. A little over a year later she encountered an ancient temple dedicated to Arkansa, the goddess of magic. Once one of the most powerful deities of the world, Arkansa had become less known as time went on, since she had been captured by her enemy, Alqorio, the god of sailors and seafarers. This happened centuries ago, many humans and other short lived races have already moved on and forgotten her, elves are amongst the few that still pray to her and build temples and statues in her honour.
Salko encountered a mostly intact library in this temple, containing books written by Arkansa herself. Some she even wrote in the past couple centuries, captive deep in a special prison Alqorio built specifically to contain and torture her, as he believes she was responsible for the death of his best friend, who died of a rare disease known to be caused by magic many millennia ago.
Thanks to her incredible control over magic, Arkansa managed to transfer these books and scrolls she wrote in secret to one of her temples, in the hopes someone would get intrigued enough by those texts to try and save her. After almost five centuries she had almost given up hope, fearing that the books might have already been destroyed or considered to be pure fiction and nothing but tales.
To her surprise though, a young adventurer actually read those texts and followed the instructions in those books on how to contact her. It took Salko a few attempts, but she eventually managed to telepathically contact Arkansa. Arkansa guided Salko through the rest of her temple, to reach a powerful artifact that would allow Salko to free her from Alqorio.
Salko also made a pact with Arkansa, becoming her patron.
