After centuries of simply surviving, we suddenly had hope for the future.
King Thiral and Queen Nira had been trying unsuccessfully for centuries to conceive an heir. During this time, the elves had lived peacefully together, however relations had become strained, in particular between the High Elves and the Dark Elves, as many of the elders were not able to move past the wars and violence of the past. One morning, elves all around the city woke to the sounds of bells and horns sounding off from the palace. Jubilation could be felt in almost each citizen as the heralds shouted on every corner that an heir had been born. "Long live the heir to the throne, Lynnara Malkavian!"
